Abstract :
English is necessary for people who want to work on international cooperation
field. However English proficiency of Japanese is not enough to work in foreign
countries. As an example, score of TOEFL is lower in Asia. A professor Takefuta
points out: "English proficiency of Japanese university varies between
low level and high level. It is difficult to cope with such a wide range of
language proficiency". It is one of the subjects to be resolved.
The authors have developed the web-based learning content to support production
of English CALL materials. The CALL materials have been gaining popularity in
universities since digital technology advanced. Although many universities utilize
CALL materials for English lesson now, it has been recognized that there are
not too many people who can produce English CALL materials That is, it is necessary
to provide active support for human resources development to produce English
CALL materials. Therefore, the authors developed the web-based learning content
to support production of English CALL materials. It encourages those who can
utilize and produce the English CALL materials. In this presentation, we report
the design and concept of developing the web-based learning content to support
production of English CALL materials.
